Went to Tokyo with the Koreans of my dorm. Hilarious guys for sure. First we had Katsudon (Like Schnitzel with better Panierung and Onions and rice ) then we went to an observation deck (for free) to see the whole city, pretty fucking impressive. After that we went to Korean-town and Harajuku. Of course I didn't miss a chance to have some tasty drinks, including that rice beverage from Korea that actually had rice in it and was very delicious. Saw a special edition soccer Kirin beer and the last wild looking can was a gross energy drink. Great times!
Oh there's also an egg involved with the Katsudon.
That's them eating! ->

Heartland and Wild f**** Cola
Heartland beer is god damn where it's at. I love the bottle and the beer is super tasty too. Plus it comes in 500 ml bottles. The wild edition cola kicks ass too, it's pretty disgusting though. It's energy mixed with coke basically.
On the bottom is a pic of Calpis Soda pretty standard drink over here. Love it.

Water melon mondays
I had this weird sugar water melon drink yesterday. I think I had a sugar shock after drinking that, running the city of Hiratsuka for like an hour. It's got that bubble gum flavor from elementary school, the stuff you went nuts about back then but couldn't stand for shit nowadays. Like the looks of it though.

New York, Breakfast
Definitely like that Grapefruit juice can design. It might be a little too sweet but it could become a drink I'll come back to from time to time. Also because it just looks cool.
Gameday! Damn RG III burned the Saints. What a first week rookie performance. Now I'm hoping Russel Wilson and Andrew Luck are gonna step up in week two.
Eating my first self made breakfast, I'ma call it "Kimchi-Ginger-Ham-Fried Rice", along with Calpis, pretty good. Hope all that Kimchi in the morning is not gonna mess with my stomach.

Moving in
Ok hey, I moved into the dormitory of my university in Kanagawa today. Theres still a lot mysteries around this place such as how to turn on my desk light. I'm just gonna assume it's broken.
Came here from Toyama in western Japan by bus last night which was a great experience. 6 hours of pain and obviously no sleep. Still am a little fucked around the neck area. (pause)
So yea, before I took off though I had two drinks! Pretty standart to all North Americans but still special for me. Vitamin Water! tastes just like in Canada.
After I moved inn I went down to the next super market and got myself some damn good tempura and other little meat sticks which were very tasty, too. Along with a good old iced tea. Eating that ish whilst watching the Saints vs. the 49ers in the divisional playoff round of last year.

Latin Biorhythm?
Here we got the "Mate Tea of the Sun" which supposedly let's you experience the latin biorhythm! Tastes basically like cold roiboos tea, it's good though. And Qoo a very tasty apple juice! Handkrüppelei bitte entschuldigen. Please excuse my Handkrüppelei.
More alcoholic beverages from the BBQ
That's a normal can of Kirin beer and two Mädchengetränke one with grape flavour and one with sour wine flavour, the hell that is. Also they only have 3% alc. and are super sweet so they're more like juices.
Beer
Today we had a BBQ that means BEER! Asahi I guess is the most famous beer outside of Japan but Kirin is just as popular in Japan. Since autumn is around the corner they've got a special edition with autumn leaves on it. They are all pretty tasty and the green one is my girlfriends favorite but none of them are any competition to a good old Sterni!

Fanta Apple, Ambasa
Two more drinks with interesting designs.
Classic Fanta Apple design, tastes like good old Apfelschorle in süß.
Ambasa Sour White, tastes like Calpis Soda but a little different.
Both Coca Cola products.
Also gonna go see this guy on the 22nd. Chris Dave aka 'Daddy' on the drums.
One Month is over
One thing has been of particular interest to me and that is Japanese beverages. They have a hell of a lot of drinks over here. Ranging from super delicious to werid weird. Also nice normal stuff neither awesomely special nor weird. The first month of my stay (August) has been hella hot so all the reasons to refresh with some cooled liquids. But even though the page's name is Drinks in Japan I won't exclusively focus on drinks but also on other stuff of my general interest.
Also big up for Tony Romo and the Cowboys for beating their rival The NY Giants in the season opener. Who would have thought Ogletree is gonna have a performance like that (not to forget Miles Austin of course)
Drinks of the first month, same same ol but new Mountain Dew!!
